Terms of Use
toolbin.eu · Last updated:
Short version: the tools are free, they work as well as we can make them, but we make no promises and accept no liability. Use them at your own risk. Don't do anything illegal. That's about it.
1. Who we are
toolbin.eu is operated by an individual operator based in Denmark. Questions can be sent to info@toolbin.eu or via the contact form.
2. What we provide
toolbin.eu offers a collection of free, browser-based utility tools. All tools are provided free of charge, without registration, and with no intention of ever charging for them. We reserve the right to add, modify, or remove tools at any time without notice.
3. No warranty — seriously
All tools on toolbin.eu are provided "as is" and "as available", without any warranty of any kind — express, implied, or statutory. We do not warrant that:
- the tools will be available at any particular time or without interruption,
- the tools will be free of errors, bugs, or inaccuracies,
- the results produced by any tool are correct, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose,
- the tools are fit for your specific use case.
If you are using a tool for anything important — a financial decision, a legal document, a medical situation, a production system — please verify the output independently. We are a free web tools site, not a certified professional service.
4. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operator of toolbin.eu shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of — or inability to use — any tool on this website. This includes but is not limited to:
- loss of data, income, profit, or business,
- damage caused by reliance on incorrect or incomplete tool output,
- any interruption or cessation of the service.
In plain English: if something goes wrong because you relied on a free web tool, that's on you. We're sorry, but we can't be held responsible.
5. Acceptable use
You may use toolbin.eu for any lawful purpose. You may not:
- use the site to process, transmit, or store any content that is illegal, harmful, or violates the rights of others,
- attempt to overload, attack, or disrupt the website or its infrastructure,
- scrape or crawl the site in a way that places an unreasonable burden on our servers,
- use the site to facilitate spam, phishing, or other deceptive practices,
- attempt to circumvent any technical measures in place on the site.
We reserve the right to block access for any visitor who violates these conditions.
6. Client-side tools and your data
Many tools on toolbin.eu (including the JSON editor, Base64 encoder, hash generator, AES encryption tool, and others) process all data entirely within your browser. No data you enter into these tools is transmitted to our server. We have no access to it and do not store it.
For tools that do make server-side requests (such as the DNS lookup, SSL checker, email validator, and web server inspector), only the domain or IP address you submit is sent to our server to perform the lookup. We do not log or store the content of these queries beyond standard server access logs, which are retained for up to 30 days.
7. Third-party services
toolbin.eu is fully self-hosted. All JavaScript libraries, stylesheets, and assets are served directly from our own server — we do not load anything from external CDNs, tracking networks, or third-party servers. This means no third party can track your visit to toolbin.eu through any script or asset we serve.
The only exception is advertising cookies, which are only loaded after you explicitly accept cookies via the cookie banner. If you decline cookies, no third-party code runs on this site at all.
8. Intellectual property
The toolbin.eu name, logo, and website design are the property of the operator. The underlying code of the tools is original work. You are welcome to use the output of any tool however you like — there is no restriction on the results the tools produce.
9. Links to other websites
toolbin.eu may contain links to external websites, including through the voluntary link exchange program. We are not responsible for the content, availability, or privacy practices of any linked site. A link does not imply endorsement.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Denmark. Any dispute arising from your use of toolbin.eu shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Danish courts, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence provide otherwise.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms at any time. The current version is always at https://toolbin.eu/terms. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
